Vascular Surgery Registrar | SET 1 Vascular Surgery (2026)
Dr Melody Koo is a current Vascular Surgery Registrar in Melbourne and a successful candidate for the 2026 intake of the RACS ANZSVS Vascular Surgery SET Training Programme. She graduated from Monash University (MBBS 2018), completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy through the University of Melbourne — where she also taught anatomy to postgraduate students — and a Master of Surgery through the University of Sydney.
Melody has worked across several major Victorian vascular units, including St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and the Northern Hospital. She is actively involved in vascular education, mentorship, and assists with the Global Vascular Companionship initiative, which aims to support capacity building and education in vascular surgery globally.
Having personally navigated the challenges of the SET application process, I am passionate about helping aspiring surgeons develop clarity, confidence, and authenticity in their interview performance. She is deeply grateful to the mentors, colleagues, friends, and family who have supported her along this journey.
